State of the Church

2014_State_of_the_Church

Today I am finally able to post for the first time in 2015!

Yesterday in church here at First Baptist Church of Del Rio, I gave a report of all that God has done in the life of our church in the year 2014. He has been so good to us, so we praised Him for that!

We have experienced numerical growth , but spiritually speaking, we have shown a desire to grow because of the hunger that has been desired in our church. In our Sunday morning Bible studies God doubled our average attendance over the last 12 months. On Wednesday evenings, God has led us to have many new discipleship classes with strong attendance. That is what amazes me more than the Sunday morning worship numbers.

Sunday morning our church average attendance is up by 23%, and our financial giving is up by 14%, so I also praise God the increase! God allowed us to baptized 28 souls and add an additional 33 new members since November of 2013. While many churches in the Southern Baptist Convention have been experiencing declining numbers in recent years, we have been very blessed to see overall increases in membership, salvations, baptisms, giving, discipleship, and church attendance.

Stay in the Light,
